Herman Miller Foundation

Art Direction
Visual Storytelling

The Herman Miller Foundation’s commitment to early childhood literacy inspired a holiday card that celebrated both creativity and the power of storytelling. To capture this mission, we directed the art for the card and an accompanying photoshoot that highlighted the work of illustrator Edward Ubiera, whose design brought the foundation’s message to life.

The photoshoot, beautifully captured by Daniel Dorsa, offered a behind-the-scenes look at Ubiera’s studio, showcasing the materials and techniques that shaped the card’s vibrant imagery. This intimate glimpse added depth to the narrative, connecting the act of illustration to the foundation’s cause of fostering literacy and imagination in young children.

The final card, paired with this visual storytelling, served as both a seasonal greeting and a call to action, reflecting the Herman Miller Foundation’s dedication to building a brighter future through the power of reading and creativity.
