Herman Miller’s exploration of the future workplace culminated in Prospect, a groundbreaking portfolio of office furniture born from Richard Holbrook’s three-year deep dive into workplace dynamics. Tasked with art direction for illustrations accompanying an article on this research, the goal was to reflect the thoughtful balance between creativity and structure that defines the research.
Collaborating with illustrator Tanawat Sakdawisarak, we developed a visual language that captured the organized chaos of the creative process. The illustrations used dynamic forms, layered compositions, and subtle textures to convey the interplay of collaboration and focus central to Prospect’s design ethos. These visuals brought Holbrook’s research to life, offering readers a vivid and engaging lens through which to understand the future of workplace design.
